(Jocelyn cuddling with her little bear blankie and smiling at her Daddy!)
I arrived late Wednesday night and actually slept in Thursday until 10:45! Ouch!- That is the latest I have ever slept in-ever!!! (Might I remind you all of the two hour time difference to make me not look SO bad! :) Kylin still had to work, so I spent the rest of my lazy morning talking to Lisa (the family Kylin is living with), then getting ready!
We were able to see some of the sights- visit metro beach, go to the mall (built on two sides of the road with an overhead tunnel connecting them), Tim Hortons (a Canadian Fave), a Tigers vs. White socks game that was very exciting and sold out I might add (Tigers won) and lounging around! I was able to meet and reacquaint with many friends old and new who's husbands Kylin has been working with. It was so nice of them, each night someone new had us over for dinner. I felt like a missionary all over again! Thank you all so much for your generosity, kindness and support to our family!
(This is us hanging out at metro beach- you gotta love this pic of Jocelyn all wide eyed!)
(The Tiger's stadium, she actually slept through most of the game. But once it went into overtime we thought we had better leave due to the noise!)
(This pic needs no explanation! Kylin would've done this the entire weekend if I would have let him!)
Overall, the weekend was exactly what the doctor ordered! I did miss Koleson and Allyssum terribly- everything we did or saw somehow reminded me of them. Thank you so much to Grandpa and Grandma Kovac for keeping the little ones for a few days! It definitely made leaving them easier knowing they were in good hands and well loved!
