A Weekend with Kylin

Kylin had to book a last minute flight to Utah as he has been working through the process the last couple of months to become a US citizen...He is only an Alien with a green card now!!! :) This time it was to take the test where he has to be able to say a sentence in English, write a sentence in English and read a sentence in English. Gee- we were really nervous about that part...It actually was a joke. He arrived and the guy sat and talked to him for awhile, learned about his current situation and for some reason decided to let him forgo the 100 question test. Kylin must really speak English well!- or the fact that he will soon be graduating med school might play a part! Congratulations babe for passing! Now we just have the swearing in ceremony until he will be an official US Citizen!

This was a very short trip, but we made the most of it. Friday night we went out with my parents and Jake and Kayla and had a blast. It has been a long time since I have laughed so hard my cheeks hurt like crazy...what else would you expect in happy town at none other than Trafalga. We played a game of mini-golf which I won- yeah! )With a few cheating strokes, SHHH!) Might I had the excitement on the 13th hole when we encountered a mouse that Jake chased and brutally beat with his club to death!

Afterwards we headed to the go-karts! I love go karts and am not to shabby of a driver if crazy is what you are looking for! We only got stuck or flipped around a few times- but had a blast! We ended the night with dippn' dots before heading home to Koleson and Allyssum! Thanks guys for a wonderful night! It was fun to get out and feel young again!

Saturday was Governor's Day. Jake is in the National Guard- so we all went to watch the National Guard parade where they all march into the Rice Eccles Stadium, salute the governor, listen to his speech and march out in a nutshell. They had three helicopters and two jets fly overhead as well! It really was neat to see, another one of those moments where you truly do feel proud to be an American! After the ceremony, they had helicopters, trucks and tanks for the kids to get in and climb around, free ice cream and inflatables! We called off the visit to the Utah State Fair because the kids had so much fun, they were completely worn out! Thanks Jake for giving your time to our Country and allowing us to continue to live in peace and freedom.
